On the journey of raising a child, emotional disorders, autism (ASD), or other developmental challenges often place extra pressure on families. A child’s behavior, communication style, and emotional expression can be confusing, and for many parents, the sense of helplessness is heavier than fatigue.
To support these families, we recently hosted a “Understanding Children, Supporting Parents” Family Sharing Session. The participants were mainly parents of children who are emotionally sensitive or show autism-related traits. Our goal was simple: to help parents understand their children’s inner world—and rediscover their own strength.
🌟 Why did we organize this sharing session?
Many assume that children are “hard to communicate with,”
but the real challenge is often this:
Parents do not fully understand the deeper emotions and needs behind their child’s behavior.
Through this session, we hoped parents could:
1. Understand their child’s inner world
Why do children stay silent?
Why do they insist on certain routines?
These behaviors often have clear logic—
they simply cannot express it the way adults do.
2. Learn effective ways to support their child
How should we respond to big emotions?
How do we help children feel safe?
We shared practical, everyday strategies parents can use immediately.
3. Find their own strength and support
Parents are human too.
They deserve to be understood, heard, and supported.
💛 Session Highlights: Seeing the Child, Seeing the Parent
Our invited speakers, with backgrounds in psychology and counseling, guided parents through interactive activities to understand children from new perspectives.
What touched us most was this:
Parents began to understand themselves through each other’s stories.
They said:
“I’m not alone.”
“I finally understand that my child isn’t doing it on purpose.”
“I thought only I felt overwhelmed, but many are on the same journey.”
At that moment, we saw not only their love for their children,
but also their healing toward themselves.
🌈 Children are not difficult—they express differently
One sentence we shared resonated strongly with all parents:
“Children are not being difficult—they simply express emotions differently.
The more a parent understands, the safer a child feels.”
A child’s inner world is more delicate and sensitive than most imagine.
They are not lacking ability—they are needing someone who slows down, listens, and understands their language.
🌻 We see every parent—and we know how hard you try
This sharing session was not just about learning.
It was a moment of connection.
Some cried, some nodded, some finally voiced their hidden worries.
And we want every parent to know:
“You are already doing an amazing job.
Your child is lucky to have you.”
🌟 What’s next: We continue to walk with you
We plan to host more sessions in the future, focusing on:
